We live in a world of color, but sometimes all you need is the light and the shadows to convey an emotion. The Black & White gallery is a collection of images where feeling comes from the tonality of the image.
At some point I began to zoom in on the world around me and one of the things that captured my interest was the detail in a flower. I enjoy the detail of a single flower or even a single petal, but also find the beauty in seeing hills that look like they have been carpeted with fields of flowers. This gallery contains images offering the beauty of a flower, no matter the level of detail.
Growing up in Utah camping with my family I was surrounded by the beauty of nature. This clearly comes through in my photography as most of my early work and still some today reminds us of the beauty that can be found in the world around us.
The calming effect of the ocean has continues to draw me to it's shores and over the years I found an interest in the architecture we have put in place to allow us to navigate these great bodies of water. Most of the photos in this gallery are of lighthouses and bridges and the man made structures you might see near the ocean.
As a food and wine aficionado, I have spent a bit of time in and around vineyards. I find beauty in the design and the nature of the vineyard and am still working to build this gallery. You will see more close up images at this time, but as it grows I hope to include the rolling hills stripped with rows of vines.
The interest for cars and open wheel racing in particular was developed as a child watching races with my dad. More recently I have had an opportunity to attend more events and I enjoy not only photographing the cars, but the capturing the emotion of the drivers, teams, and the even itself. This gallery contains mostly images that I have taken at IndyCar events, but other racing images are also included.
The style and design of cars has always fascinated me. Much of what you will see in this gallery are images that show off the design and style of the body of the automobile, but there are also images of iconic cars and even a few of updates to those icons. One of my favorite iconic cars is the GT40, it was great to see it make a comeback at La Mans this year.
